Content Width vs Reading Width
This page demonstrates the difference between wide layout containers and readable text columns.
Wide Content Area
This section uses the main content width. It is useful for grids, cards, feature panels, galleries, and landing page layouts.
Card One
This card sits inside the wider content container.
Card Two
Changing Content Width should affect this overall grid area.
Card Three
This is layout content, not long-form reading content.
Reading Width
Readable Text Column
This section is intentionally narrower. Reading Width is meant for article bodies, legal pages, documentation, tutorials, essays, and long-form text where line length matters more than full-page layout.
When Reading Width changes, this text column should become wider or narrower while the outer page container remains unchanged. This makes it possible to have wide landing page sections and comfortable reading pages in the same framework.
A good reading width keeps text from stretching too far across the screen. Long lines become harder to read, especially on large monitors.
